Privacy

On this page, I explain what personal data I collect about you when you use petervidovic.com, what I use it for, who I share it with and what rights you have. I comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and, for cookies, Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications.

Who processes your data

I, Peter Vidovič, operate this website and act as the controller of your personal data as a private individual. If you have questions or requests about your data, write to me using the contact form. I have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one in my case.

Contact form

When you write to me using the form, I process your name, email address, company or brand name (if you provide it) and message. I use this data only to reply to you and, where relevant, agree on working together.

  • Legal basis: taking steps towards working together at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention period: no more than two years after our last communication. If we start working together, I retain the data for the duration of our work together and then for as long as accounting and tax regulations require.

Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form from spam. It checks whether a human is filling in the form and briefly processes technical data about your browser and device for this purpose. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the website from misuse.

Booking a consultation

You can book a consultation through the Cal.com calendar. When you book, I process your name, email address, chosen appointment time and any note you provide. I use this data so that we can meet online and I can prepare for the meeting.

  • Legal basis: taking steps towards working together at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention period: no more than two years after the meeting, unless we start working together.

Downloadable materials

When you request a downloadable resource, I process your email address and a record of when you gave consent and what you consented to. First, I send you an email with a confirmation link. Only after you click it will I send you the resource and occasional emails about how brands appear in AI answers.

  • Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Retention period: until you withdraw your consent. If you do not confirm your email address, it will not be added to the list.
  • Withdrawing consent: at any time, simply reply to any of my emails with the word “unsubscribe” or write to me using the contact form.

Cookies and website analytics

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. I use two types:

  • Essential cookies are needed for the website to work. The “jazyk” cookie remembers your chosen website language (1 year), and the “suhlas” cookie remembers your cookie choice (6 months). I do not need your consent for these cookies.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you consent to them in the cookie banner. They help me understand which pages people find interesting and show advertising to people who have visited the website. For this, I mainly use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn Insight Tag. I manage these tools through Google Tag Manager.

Until you give consent, no analytics or marketing cookies are stored. Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer.

  • Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Retention period: according to each tool’s settings, up to a maximum of 2 years.

Who I share data with

I do not sell your data. I share it only with companies that help me run the website and process it according to my instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from attacks and provides Turnstile form protection. During each visit, it briefly processes technical data, such as your IP address,
  • Resend sends emails from the website and stores the email list for downloadable materials,
  • Google provides my email inbox, calendar and the Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager tools,
  • Cal.com provides the calendar for booking consultations,
  • Meta and LinkedIn provide analytics and advertising tools if you have consented to marketing cookies.

Some of these companies are based in the USA. Data is transferred there under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • know what data I process about you and receive a copy,
  • request the correction of inaccurate data,
  • request the deletion of data,
  • request restriction of processing,
  • receive your data in a machine-readable format and transfer it elsewhere,
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests,
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before its withdrawal.

Send your request using the contact form. I will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe I am handling your data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.

I do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.

Changes

When the way I handle data changes, I will update this page. Effective from 1 November 2026.
